Introduction:

By the end of this article, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to make your mark as a professional blogger.

In fact, there are numerous videos available on YouTube, on how to start a blog and chapters that contain blogging essentials.  But most of them are prototype and standard courses taken or collected from any study material and are being reproduced as chapters.  However, in reality, there are certain tips and tricks that are to be followed to become a successful Blogger.  This is because everyone wants to start as a Blogger, but only a few succeed or last longer because of various reasons that can be found in this Article.  This Article also describes the most common errors that every Blogger makes, leading to an unsuccessful journey.  The significance of this blog site is that every Article gives you Step-by-Step Action if followed carefully, will gradually progress your growth from a new Blogger to a Pro Blogger.   Now let’s discuss the most important aspects of Blogging that a Blogger should follow.

Laying the Foundation

Before you start your blog, it’s essential to lay a solid foundation, as in every field a strong foundation is required in order to stabilize the execution of the project.

1. Define Your Purpose and Niche: Determine why you want to blog and what topics you’re passionate about. Your niche should be a balance between your interests and what your target audience wants to read.  Most Bloggers start with a Multi-Niche posting articles on various topics.  Though I don’t totally call it a wrong practice for new Bloggers, however graduating from a New Blogger to a Pro Blogger requires certain exceptional qualities like quality of output, originality of content, Uniqueness of the content, consistency, perseverance, engaging the audience, driving the traffic towards your blog post, etc. which is not possible in a multi-Niche environment.  So, it is strongly suggested to Narrow down and choose the Niche that you are most passionate about and yet should cover the interest of your target audience.  In this way, you will be more inclined to write at least 1 topic daily as it interests you the most.

2. Do I need a Domain Name and Hosting: Choosing a memorable domain name that reflects your blog’s theme and Investing in a reliable hosting service to ensure your website is accessible and fast is no doubt the ideal path for a Pro Blogger.  However, it depends upon the IT knowledge and the interest in creating your own website with a Domain Name a Hosting that requires some investment, even if you go with a basic plan.  For a new Blogger, creating your own website with a Domain Name and Hosting is not at all mandatory, and you can just start your Blogging from a Blogpost (subdomain) service that is available from Blogspot.com.  You only need a Gmail Account to set up your Sub-Domain and start posting your Articles there without scratching your head in buying and customizing your Website.

3. Blogspot  (Sub-Domain) or Domain Name:  Frankly speaking, I started Blogging from a Sub-Domain only by creating Blog posts.  The main idea is to have a consistent mindset to Write Articles with Ease, which is possible in Blogspot.com.  Just make your initial profile settings and start posting your Articles, and you will be online right from Day 1.    On the other hand, if you decide to buy a Domain Name, you need to first do the initial settings, customize the themes, and make it live before posting any articles, which may deviate your interest from Writing Articles.  That’s the reason I am telling you, to start with a blogspot and enjoy your writing experience with the ease of posting.

If you are already aware of Domain Names, and hosting and can do the initial set-ups and the essential Plugins required for the Website, you can always kickstart by going in for a Domain Name Registration and hosting.   There are user-friendly platforms like WordPress, Wix, Canva, etc. wherein you can customize your blog’s appearance to make it visually appalling and user-friendly.

Crafting Your First Post

Your first blog post is your introduction to the blogging world. Make it count for you.

1. Choose an Engaging Topic: Your first post should resonate with your niche and engage your target audience. Think about what problem or question your post will address, or what benefit the reader will get if they engage with your Blogging.  Your first Article should speak about the future of your Blog, like a 90 90-day challenge, a Transformation from a current situation to a proposed situation, a Step-by-Step learning guide, or a learning series/tutorial that gives a clear direction about what and how the readers will benefit. In other words, instead of randomly choosing any topic, ensure that your article should have continuity and every Article should have connectivity with the previous Articles.  This way your Article can be an engaging one for the readers.

2. Research and Outline: Conduct thorough research on your chosen topic. Create an outline to organize your thoughts and ensure a logical flow of content.   Doing Research before posting any Article is absolutely necessary for a Beginner Blogger.  Do proper Research, as there are numerous sites for doing Research like, Google Trends, Buzzsumo, Quora, Reddit, AnswerThePublic, Alltop, Ahref, News sites, Industry specific news, Google Scholar, Pinterest, Keyword Research Tools, like SEMrush, YouTube Trends, and list is unlimited.   I personally use Quora and AnswerThePublic, which are very effective in finding your Keyword Research.

3. Write High-Quality Content: Craft a well-written, informative, and engaging post. Use clear language, avoid jargon, and provide actionable advice or valuable insights.  Never do shortcuts, like copying from AI-generated content for high-fi language, as language does not matter.  What really matters is the originality and easiness of your language.   Don’t try to impress with your language, it will not work.  Rather keep your language as simple as possible with full of original content.  Take your laptop, and start writing whatever comes to your mind relating to your Niche and topic, as Quality is the backbone of your article.

4. Optimize for SEO: Incorporate relevant keywords naturally, optimize meta tags, and use descriptive headers. This will improve your post’s visibility on search engines.  You may be thinking that you have added the best keywords in your article, but your article might not be visible to the target audience.   Hence finding the optimized Keywords that are SEO effective.   One way is to do the advanced one-time, SEO settings that are necessary for your Blogpost or your WordPress article.

5. Add Visuals: Include eye-catching images, infographics, or videos to enhance the visual appeal of your post and break up the text, for images should speak about the article that you are writing, as people browse articles by their Headings and images, and the more relevant and eye-catching image and heading is half read.

6. Proofread and Edit: Eliminate grammar and spelling errors to maintain professionalism throughout your article.   Grammar is very important and you cannot afford to make grammatical mistakes or spelling mistakes in any part of your article. Use Grammarly to fine-tune your Article in the Draft Mode before you decide to publish.   Proofreading and editing can eliminate last-minute mistakes which most of Bloggers do.   So do not publish before proofreading your Article.

Becoming a Successful Pro Blogger

Now that your blog is up and running, it’s time to focus on long-term success:

1. Consistency is Key: Regularly publish high-quality content. Consistency helps build your audience and improves your blog’s search engine ranking. The audience once created, always expects more Articles from your side and hence do not stop Writing Articles. Make it a point to publish at least 1 Article a day and keep your Article Unique without any repetition.   It is not fair to write 1 article and then leave a gap of 3 to 4 days and then write the second Article, whenever you find time and this will not work.  You need to be consistent and this consistency can be developed only by creating a passion for writing and not by forceful writing.

2. Have a Clear Mindset:  Having a positive and winning mindset is very much required for a new Blogger.   Do not be under pressure by comparing with your fellow bloggers and fall into shortcut traps.  Throw away the Monetization mindset that you should earn from the first month of Blogging.   As a Beginner Blogger, your first motive is to gain traffic and build a huge audience of readers and nothing else.  In fact, I would suggest not applying for Adsense till you successfully upload 25 to 30 Articles with good traffic on board.

3. Build an Engaged Community: Respond to comments, engage with your audience on social media, and create a sense of community around your blog. One way to grab an engaged community is to join as much as communities on Facebook as possible and try to help others by responding to their queries and difficulties.  Build a sense of professionalism in the eyes of readers by contributing your best to the community without any expectation.   Professional bloggers never expect anything in return, except exhibiting professionalism and the rest comes on its own.

4. Learn and Adapt: Stay updated on industry trends and blogging techniques. Be willing to adapt to changes and experiment with new ideas. Change management is essential in the Blogging field as well, as you need to learn the industry trends as to what triggers readers to read your article, and what techniques are followed by pro bloggers.   Observe the activities of pro bloggers and follow the same, keep at least a few pro bloggers as your mentors in your mind and follow in their footsteps.  Gradually think like a Pro blogger from an Amateur Blogger. Unless you feel in that position you cannot achieve the position.

5. Monetize Your Blog: Once you have graduated to some extent about creating compelling Articles with accumulated traffic, then you can think of Monetizing your site, by exploring various monetization strategies, such as affiliate marketing, Backlinks, Internal links, sponsored content, and selling digital products, courses or Books related to your Blog.   This way you not only multiply your sources of earnings but also multiply your market presence which goes a long way in becoming a Pro Blogger.   Like you followed some Pro Bloggers’ footpaths, many Bloggers will start following you as you will start getting a lot of queries and asking for advice from you.

6. Network and Collaborate: Connect with fellow bloggers, attend conferences, and explore guest posting opportunities. Collaboration can expand your reach and knowledge. This is the stage when you will get a lot of opportunities to display your professionalism on other websites as a Guest post.   Engage in various Guest posts that can portray your capabilities as a Blogger.  Offer lessons, tutorials, and know-how within your Niche and start developing your network gradually.

7. Measure and Analyze:  Last but not least, you should measure your journey and analyze your caliber by using tools like Google Analytics to track your blog’s performance. Analyze data to understand what works for you and what not, and this will give you the answer as to how it worked for you so that you can replicate the same in other segments.   What are the positive points what are the pain points in your journey and what and where do you need improvement?  This will give you a clear picture of how you see yourself in the next 3 to  5 years down the line.
